Deisenhofen, Germany: 24skate #22, May 11 2025, 10:50-11:50


Day 2 of 24skate #22 gave my wife and me the opportunity to do a nice skate-out not far from Munich. We took a suburban train to Sauerlach. After just a few steps from the station you feel like in the deepest Bavarian countryside, with sparrows sitting on and swallows flying through the open windows of the cowbarns.





The meadows are green,



the acres brown or rapeseed-yellow



and the Alps nearby at the horizon (sorry, forgot to take a picture).


Right next to this beautiful scenery



we put our skates on



and reached a perfectly paved, smooth, flat bike path, which leads along the rail track back towards Munich. The sign tells the distance to hour destination: Deisenhofen, with the next station of the train line.




We did no speed skating, but enjoyed the beautiful weather, the blue sky and the nature along the path.










At the end, our Bavarian dinner - bear's garlic dumplings with parmesan and green asparagus - was well deserved.
